NO DIRECT BILLING - CHECK YOUR HEALTH SPENDING ACCOUNT FOR COVERAGE.

My experience in fitness and health began as a young athlete and grew with each new role I took in the health field. I completed a personal fitness trainer diploma at the NAIT in 2012 certifying both as a Personal Trainer (through the Canadian Society of Exercise Physiology) and a Corrective Exercise Specialist (from the National Academy of Sports Medicine).

Combining the science of kinesiology with fascial stretch therapy, corrective exercise and adaptive physical activity for best results. Working with clients to guide them through their rehabilitation journey, improving performance, or preventing injury. My passion is to create an accessible and inclusive healthcare community that enhances quality of life for all.

Outside of my professional life I enjoy yoga, spinning poi, running, walking, cycling, kayaking, volleyball, slo-pitch, skiing, snowboarding, soccer, cooking, and gardening. If I could, I would spend all my spare time travelling or enjoying the outdoors!

Shawn’s passion for bodywork began through his own experience with injury and recovery. After a serious injury affected his mobility, Structural Integration played an important role in helping him become active and pain-free again. That experience sparked a lasting curiosity about how the body adapts, why restrictions and compensations develop, and how meaningful change can help people return to the things they love.

With a background that includes grappling, snowboarding, rock climbing, and years working in construction, Shawn understands the demands that sport, work, and everyday life can place on the body. He brings that perspective, along with an analytical and curious approach, to his work as a Registered Massage Therapist and Anatomy Trains Structural Integration practitioner. Structural Integration fundamentally shapes the way he approaches bodywork.

Rather than focusing only on where symptoms are felt, Shawn looks at how the body is organized and moves as a whole, and how restrictions in one area may influence another. His goal is to help people find greater ease, mobility, and freedom in their bodies so they can move well, feel better, and stay connected to the activities and experiences that matter to them.

Treatment combines detailed assessment with slow, focused fascial and deep tissue work, movement, and education. Shawn’s approach is collaborative and individualized, guided by what he sees and feels in the body as well as the goals of the person in front of him. Whether someone is returning from injury, working through persistent restrictions, or simply looking to move and feel better, treatment is focused on creating meaningful, lasting change rather than simply chasing symptoms.

Outside of the clinic, Shawn can be found enjoying good coffee, snowboarding, hiking, travelling, taking photos, or finding another excuse to spend time outdoors. And if you want to talk about your dog, or show off a few pictures, he is absolutely your guy.
